If there is no problem, there is no problem.

There were three men stranded on an island. They had been isolated there for many years, when suddenly, they saw a bottle roll up to the shore where they were sitting. One of the men picked up the bottle and opened it, and lo and behold, a genie came out of the bottle and granted each one a single wish.
The first man pondered it a bit and happily said – “I wish to return back to my family at home and enjoy my life again with my wife and children” Poof – the genie nodded his head and the man disappeared from the island.
The second man had been watching this scene and ecstatically said, “Let me please go back and run the business I was running before getting stuck on this island”. Poof – the genie nodded his head and the man disappeared back to his previous occupation.
The third man was ready to go and he suddenly said – “I’m not sure, I wish I had those other two friends to help me decide!”
Poof – the other two men were back on the island, stranded once again.
Our worries are just like this. We constantly bring them back so that we can chew on them over and over again and what we don’t understand is that we have become dependent on them.
When our worries leave us, we are not comfortable in that zone, so we constantly bring them back again to haggle over.
We no longer realize that we are not our worries. We start to believe that we are our worries.
Worry is nothing but a mental pattern that we bring back again and again.
There are moments of silence always. What do I mean by silence? I mean the moments where our mind is silent, the moments when our thoughts are silent, where we simply hear what is around us without jumping towards them or away from them.
One simply technique you can try is to see if there is a problem at this moment.
I’m not saying that you have no problems in your life. Remember, you are not your problems.
I’m asking you if you have a problem right now.
The basic truth is, if there is no problem, there is no problem.
If there is no problem in this moment, there is no problem.
There are so many moments in our lives when there really is no problems. How many times do you have problems while brushing your teeth?
How many times a week do you have problems chewing your food? How many times a week do you have a problem driving your car?
So, when you find yourself stressed out, or worried, see if there really is a problem going on in that moment.
I’m reminded of a story.
There was a grandfather whom all the family knew to be a grouch. He was always upset with something or the other and most of his grandchildren shied away from him because of his serious demeanor. One day, surprisingly, he was in a good mood. One of his granddaughters was bold enough to ask him “Grandpa, why are you being so nice today?”. See how children can be so direct sometimes, while we beat around the bush?
Anyhow, the grandfather said “All these days I tried to make my mind content without any results, so finally I gave up and decided to be happy with my mind”
See, much of our worries is because we are trying to make our mind something. We are trying to condition ourselves and trying to condition our surroundings.
Instead, if we just decide. Remember, don’t just try, DECIDE.
If we just decide to be happy with our mind, however it is, whatever it is…. if we decide to be happy with our surroundings, however it is, whatever it is…
There is no problem.
Our mind simply creates patterns that we suffer with.
The solution is to just remember that when there is no problem, there is no problem.
